The Paulson Cross Country Ski Trails are managed and maintained by the Castlegar Nordic Ski Club and include 53 kilometres of diverse, interconnected trails with opportunities for skiers at all levels, from young families and beginners to intermediate and advanced levels. Approximately 45 kilometres of the trail network are maintained as packed and tracked trails. Our Viking Centre and four modern warming huts offer the opportunity for a variety of adventures from a short hour-long ski to a full day outing.
Trails wind through a mosaic of mixed coniferous forests and openings with a diversity of spectacular views. With an elevation range of 1300 to 1500 metres, this recreation area provides a long ski season with excellent snow conditions and a predominance of sunny days.
The Paulson recreation area is located about 32 km west of Castlegar on Highway 3, just west of the junction of Highways 3 and 3B at Nancy Greene Lake.
