Volunteers Needed for September Build Dates

After a very unexpected delay last summer, we’ve finally got a workable foundation, and are ready to start the construction of our Grooming Storage Facility!!

We think that this essential infrastructure project will take our operations to the next level—making the ski season run more smoothly and creating a much better workspace for our staff. A huge thank you to everyone pitching in to make it happen!”

Work Party 1: Assembling the steel building – September 12, 13, 14 – 8:30am

We are looking for a team of 6 or more keen volunteers to help transport the building pieces, assemble the arches and install the steel panels. We estimate the job will take several days, with a team working on it.

  • Friday the 12th: A team of 6 will meet at out storage center in Ootischenia where we will load up the building pieces and transport them up to the trails and unload. (we need one more truck to help)
  • Saturday the 13th: A team of 6 or more will start putting up the arches, barn raising-style.
  • Sunday the 14th: With as many people as we can gather, we will bolt all of the pieces of our building together (10,000 bolts!).

If you are free for any of these three days, your help will be deeply appreciated! No construction experience required – just your willingness to help.

  • Work gloves and sturdy boots will be required.
  • Please bring a power drill or torque wrench with a socket-set to use.
  • Pack a lunch and water.
  • Snacks and coffee will be provided.
  • Carpooling can be scheduled
