Castlegar Nordic Ski Club
2023 Fun Troll Loppet
Sunday, January 22nd, 2023
Start Time: 10:00 a.m. at the Viking Centre (at Mud Lake)
The Castlegar Nordic Ski Club’s Fun Troll Loppet is back! – Live, better than ever, and this year commemorating the 61st year anniversary of the Sons Of Norway Lodge #76 in Castlegar.
The Loppet is a fun, self-paced, ski marathon participation event (not a race); but your completion time will be available for your information. The Loppet is open to all skiers at any ability level. All participants receive a participation award and juice and snacks are available at the Loppet finish. Please come out and join us for this healthy, fun recreation event! Register early as we expect a large turnout this year!
This 2023 Loppet is being dedicated to the memory of our late dear friend and long time Club member, Winston Fayant. Winston served as the Club president for 27 years and was a key organizer and strong supporter of the Loppet. His huge efforts every year in organizing, confirming routes, getting all the trail markers correctly located, and making sure participants have a safe, fun experience will be missed; but the Club carries on in his tradition!
